Leder Haus at ARCH:ID 2026 | The Busok Experience

At ARCH:ID 2026, Leder Haus presents “The Busok Experience”—an immersive booth designed by Insignio Studio that redefines leather beyond its conventional role. Known for its experimental approach, the studio explores how material, color, and pattern extend beyond surface application into a spatial and experiential dimension.

From Material to Experience
Rather than functioning solely as upholstery, Leder Haus materials are applied architecturally—combined, layered, and developed into custom patterns that expand both visual and tactile possibilities.
“We want to show that Leder Haus is not only used in a single color as a surface covering, but also how its application can be explored—including through patterns that we develop ourselves.” — Adianto Salim, Insignio Studio

The Busok Narrative: Mystery, Subtlety, and Discovery
At the core of the installation lies an abstract narrative inspired by the Busok cat, a rare breed from Madura, Indonesia, known for its soft grey tone reminiscent of the British Shorthair. Rather than literalizing the form, the design translates its characteristics—shy, mysterious, yet quietly captivating—into spatial qualities.
The booth is conceived as a gradual reveal. Visitors are invited to explore rather than simply observe, encountering layers of detail, subtle transitions, and unexpected moments that unfold over time. This approach reflects the essence of the Busok itself: understated, elusive, and memorable.

A Dialogue Between Three Brands
The installation brings together Leder Haus, DEKA, and Eurotheum in a unified spatial narrative. Materials and products are reinterpreted beyond their conventional roles—leather becomes architectural, hardware introduces kinetic interactions, and kitchen elements transform into sculptural centerpieces.
More than a display, the booth is designed as an experience—inviting visitors to rethink how materials can be applied, combined, and elevated into expressive design elements.
